Before you begin: The exact ingredient ratios, resting times and frying instructions must be checked against your product pack. This draft is a general preparation guide and is not a replacement for package directions.
Ingredients
- Shree Siddhivinayak Chakali Bhajni — quantity according to the pack
- Hot water as required by the pack instructions
- Oil or fat only as specified on the pack
- Oil for frying
Step-by-step method
- Read the Chakali Bhajni pack for the correct water-to-mix ratio and any additional ingredients. Measure everything before starting.
- Prepare the dough following the packet's method. Mix until smooth and pliable, without making it excessively wet.
- Fit a chakali plate into a clean chakali press. Fill with dough and pipe spirals onto a lightly greased surface.
- Heat frying oil and carefully fry in manageable batches until cooked through and crisp, following the temperature and timing guidance on the pack.
- Drain, cool completely, and store in an airtight container.
Helpful tips
- If the spiral breaks while piping, check dough moisture and knead again gently.
- Do not overcrowd the pan. Allow the chakalis to cool before packing.
