The story of Shree Siddhivinayak Pickles is not just about pickles—it’s a tale of passion, perseverance, and timeless tradition passed down through generations.
It began in 1936, when the late Smt. Vithabai Marye, a visionary homemaker, started preparing pickles in her kitchen with love and authentic Konkan recipes. Her creations quickly gained popularity in local markets for their unique taste and quality, laying the foundation of a flavorful legacy.
As demand grew, her son, Mr. Jagganath Marye, a hardworking professional, joined the mission. After office hours, he personally sold pickles in nearby areas, gradually expanding to popular Mumbai markets like Byculla, Parel, and Dadar.
The family soon opened their first retail shop at Bakri Adda, Byculla, offering not just pickles but also papad, kulit peeth, and spices, making it a beloved neighborhood store.
To meet increasing demand, a small-scale manufacturing unit was set up at Malvan Katta in the Konkan region. However, the family faced a major setback with the sudden demise of Mr. Jagganath Marye.
His son, Mr. Ravindra Marye, then took charge of the business. With renewed determination, he expanded the reach through professional shop-to-shop distribution, all while maintaining the original taste customers cherished.
Currently, Mr. Rohan Marye leads the business operations and production, actively expanding the product range while upholding the brand's legacy and quality standards.
As popularity grew across Mumbai and Thane, the need for larger-scale operations led to the shift of production to Kolhapur in 1996. This move enabled expansion into new markets, including Goa, the Konkan belt, and Kolhapur.
To cater to rising demand and uphold product quality, a modern manufacturing plant was inaugurated at Five Star MIDC, Kagal, in 2010.
